Job summary

RTX is seeking a System Administrator/Cybersecurity Specialist for the Surveillance Radar Program. The role involves extensive UNIX/Linux tasks, VMware ESXi and vSphere operations, PBX/VOIP management, and security policy enforcement on a remote assignment with potential rotations.

A Secret clearance is required. Ideal candidates have a STEM degree, 5+ years of related experience (or 10+ without degree), and readiness for a 13-hour, 5-day work week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM; relevant work or military experience may substitute.
• Willing to work 13 hours, 5 days per week.
• Ability to troubleshoot server issues on Windows/Linux/Unix.
• Fabricating and testing network cables and interconnects.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Proficient in computer systems and networking; able to troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Install and administer UNIX hardware/OS (AIX, RHEL) including cabling and peripherals.
• Install, operate, and troubleshoot VMware ESXi.
• Handle PBX and VOIP installation and operations.
• Develop operating and preventive maintenance procedures for networked data processing systems.
• Proactively monitor network/server health and take corrective action.
• Enforce cyber policy and triage alerts for security incidents.
• Collaborate with team on smart card issuance and policy deployment on assets.
