Job summary

Crowley in Jacksonville is seeking a Crew Planning Coordinator to manage day-to-week crewing for vessels, verify credentials, coordinate travel and maintain records. The role supports safe, compliant operations and continuous improvement within a hybrid work arrangement.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent with 0–1 years in marine crewing, or an Associate/Bachelor's degree, plus strong MS Office skills and familiarity with Filenet, NS5, and USCG portals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 0-1 years of experience in marine crewing operations or Associate/Bachelor's degree.
• 0-1 years of experience in marine crewing operations or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word in addition to programs such as Filenet, NS5, Anderson-Kelly web portal, SIU, AMO and USCG web portals.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-week crewing activities for assigned vessels.
• Verify mariner credentials, medical documentation, training, drug-testing requirements, and other qualifications.
• Develop and maintain crew rotation plans based on vessel schedules and requirements.
• Coordinate cost-effective travel for joining and departing mariners and communicate details to stakeholders.
• Maintain complete records in applicable systems; identify discrepancies and take corrective action.
• Support mariner development by identifying training needs and upcoming requirements.
• Interact with union hiring halls and assist with dispatch, payroll, and audits.
• Participate in training, process standardization and data quality reviews.
• Provide backup support for other vessel assignments during peak periods.
