Job summary

Crowley Maritime Corporation is seeking a Crewing Administrator to manage day-to-day crew planning, credential verification, travel coordination, and records for assigned vessels.

You will verify qualifications, maintain records, and support mariner development while interfacing with unions and internal stakeholders. This hybrid role requires strong communication and organization across maritime operations.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of marine crewing operations or related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and port portals.
• Able to travel as necessary.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage routine crewing activities for vessels per procedures, CBAs, customer requirements, and regulations.
• Verify mariner credentials, medical docs, training, drug-testing, and other qualifications are valid.
• Develop crew rotation plans based on schedules, availability, qualifications, and needs.
• Coordinate cost-effective travel for joining and departing mariners and notify stakeholders.
• Maintain personnel, assignment, travel, and qualification records; identify gaps and take corrective action.
• Support mariner development by identifying training needs and upcoming requirements.
• Interact with union hiring halls and assist with dispatch, payroll, grievances, audits, and reporting.
• Participate in training, process standardization, data-quality reviews, and improvements.
• Provide backup support for other vessel assignments during vacations or peak demand.
