Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience substituted for education.
• 4+ years of yard or vessel operations experience; union supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the safe discharge, organization, storage, and movement of cargo through the terminal.
• Plan and coordinate stevedoring and yard operations for safety and efficiency.
• Manage staffing of union employees for safety, operations oversight, and reporting.
• Ensure cargo and empties are identified and loaded per procedures.
• Formulate stowage plans to ensure vessel stability and trim.
• Maintain relationships with union and non-union personnel under policies and CBA.
• Control costs by managing meal periods and minimizing overtime.
