Job summary

GHD is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join the Maritime and Coastal practice in Southern California. You will provide design leadership, project management, client management and mentorship across waterfront projects in CA, OR, WA and the Pacific West Region.

The role offers hybrid work with in-office collaboration; location options include Long Beach or Irvine, CA, with oversight of multiple complex projects and teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience or consulting experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer.
• Ability to manage time, priorities, and fast-paced work.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team or independently.
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide design leadership and project management for maritime and coastal projects.
• Lead a team across California, Oregon, Washington and the Pacific West Region.
• Develop scopes, schedules, fees, and project controls with clients and staff.
• Coordinate with cross-discipline teams and mentor engineers and technicians.
• Grow client relationships and support pursuits, proposals, and budget development.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
