Job summary

GHD, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater design for Southern California projects.

You will collaborate with roadway, coastal, and environmental teams to deliver resilient, permit-compliant infrastructure and mentor junior engineers in a hybrid in-office/remote work model across San Diego, Irvine, Long Beach or LA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, or similar).
• Registered Civil PE in CA preferred; if not, achieve within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum 7 years of civil engineering experience focusing on water/wastewater infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical/discipline lead for hydrologic, hydraulic, stormwater quality, and drainage design.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and staffing plans for hydraulic tasks.
• Lead drainage studies, H&H reports, SWQMPs, and flood studies.
• Provide QA/QC on engineering design, calculations, and technical reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain relationships with local agencies.
