Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a senior technical leader to drive maritime products from concept to delivery. You will tie requirements to customer inputs and ensure traceability to program decisions, leading cross-functional teams for rapid execution.

Your background in systems engineering and leadership on defense programs will guide architecture, risk management, and manufacturability, while travel and security clearance are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Systems Engineering, Marine Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of technical leadership and systems engineering on defense programs.
• Strong systems engineering and architecture background bridging software and hardware development.
• Experience aligning HW/SW roadmaps with program requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel 25% to customer and test sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the initial design, prototyping, capability verification, and delivery of a maritime autonomous system.
• Manage system and sub-system design, including architecture development, requirements definition, and trades to shape the product with schedule and cost considerations.
• Perform systems engineering analyses to explore early designs and provide solutions to gaps in DOD capability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain to embed design for manufacturing and enable scale production.
• Coordinate with senior leadership to ensure adequate resource plans for the work scope.
• Oversee technical execution of new surface product for Anduril Maritime.
• Define capabilities, milestones, and demonstrations for continuous development of autonomous systems.
