Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Chief Engineer for a new maritime product. You will lead technical development and integration from concept to delivery, partnering with program leadership, other Anduril product teams, and third-party vendors to tie requirements to customer inputs with traceability to program decisions.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of ocean-going craft, systems engineering, product development, and engineering processes.
• Experience leading maritime programs from concept through test and delivery to customers.
• Strong understanding of vehicle and systems design rationale.
• Experience on mission-critical DoD systems.
• Proven delivery under open-ended problems with testing and validation.

Responsibilities

• Support early architecture definition and scoping for a new product, defining the technical approach, key requirements, and prototype design
• Support the build out of development timelines with milestones and staffing needs
• Work directly with Product Manager, EPM, Lead Systems Engineer to ensure development is executed on plan
• Accountable for technical decisions and developments on the AUV
• Perform system trades on energy storage, vehicle control, mass budget, and payload capacity
• Lead a new team within Anduril Maritime on development and prototyping of a new platform
• Collaborate with functional leads to drive common approaches for technical development
• Own root cause corrective action and reliability of the AUV product and family
• Identify opportunities for division collaboration and design commonality
