Job summary

Serco is seeking a Marine Engineer for its MEO team, based in Arlington, VA, to support Navy and commercial maritime programs. You will perform design reviews, analyses, and system integrations across fluids, propulsion, and auxiliary systems, interfacing with naval architecture and other disciplines.

The role requires ABET-accredited marine engineering education, 5 years of related experience, and the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of marine engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Perform auxiliary, fluid, mechanical, engine, and propulsion design or review.
• Develop analyses and deliverables per regulatory standards.
• Lead design integrations with naval architecture and structures.
• Provide onsite engineering support at test sites and shipyards.
• Prepare documentation and briefings for government or clients.
