Job summary

OneWater Marine is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead the service department in Sarasota. The role focuses on daily management of the service team, profitability, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Ideal candidates will have strong leadership, marine service knowledge, and a passion for team development and operational excellence. This is a full-time position in an indoor office environment with ADA compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in service operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Marine industry experience preferred; related industries (automotive, powersports, RV) also considered.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree a plus.
• OEM certifications (e.g., Yamaha, Mercury, Volvo Penta) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; boating license as applicable by state.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of service technicians, writers, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely job completion.
• Manage service staff; coach and train team members to maintain high technical and customer service standards.
• Monitor department profitability, manage labor efficiency, review repair order accuracy, and implement pricing strategies to meet objectives.
• Recruit, hire and, when necessary, terminate service personnel.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for customer concerns; ensure satisfaction through proactive communication and prompt service.
