Job summary

Summit Fire & Security in Seattle is seeking a Marine Sales Representative to drive growth through business development, marketing and sales of Summit services to marinas, shipyards and marine professionals. The role requires leading the sales process from contact to contract, generating proposals, attending boat shows, and collaborating with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's in Business or related, preferred.
• 2 years relevant work experience in business development, or Fire Life Safety sales, preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; reliable transportation; up to 40% travel.

Responsibilities

• Solicit Marinas, Shipyards, Service Yards, Maintenance, Fleet and Management Companies, owners, captains and marine professionals to use Summit services.
• Generate new relationships and foster existing relationships among customer base for continued sales.
• Acquire sales leads for new work; sell Summit's services.
• Lead the sales process from initial contact to contract/Notice to Proceed.
• Generate new proposals and estimates, follow-up on active proposals and estimates, and close sales.
• Communicate status of active proposals to Management.
• Attend and work at Trade Shows, Boat Shows and other industry events.
• Assist with general marketing activities and promotion of the Company.
• Attend meetings with customers and stakeholders; coordinate design and scheduling.
• Function as a face of the Company amongst our Customer base; support branch/division managers.
