Job summary

Everett Ship Repair in Everett, WA is seeking an experienced pipefitter to form, fit, and fabricate piping systems for vessels, from shop fabrication to sea trials. You will interpret engineering drawings, read blueprints in standard and metric, and perform MIG/Arc welds as needed.

The role requires strong HVAC piping knowledge, hydraulics familiarity, and the ability to work across shop and on-board environments. Safety, teamwork, and mentorship of apprentices are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Pipefitter with fit, tack, thread, bend, and laterals.
• Ability to interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Basic MIG and arc welding skills.
• Knowledge of HVAC piping and condensation (drain).
• Experience with sewage piping systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Form, fit, and fabricate piping systems to drawings, including spools and sea trials.
• Operate in the fabrication shop, on modular jigs, and aboard completed assemblies.
• Lay out, cut, prep, and assemble spools and piping systems for modules and final assembly.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend to angle using hand/power tools and machines.
• Read blueprints in standard and metric to build complex systems.
• Maintain safety culture and housekeeping; mentor apprentices.
