Job summary

Johnson Controls Navy Systems is seeking an experienced Field Operations General Manager to lead field service teams in the Norfolk, VA area, overseeing P&L, sales, shipboard execution, and client relationships across NC, CA, and WA locations. This role reports to the JCNS Director of Programs, Contracts, and Field Services in York, PA.

The position requires strong marine HVAC expertise, proven leadership, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive field service or operations leadership experience.
• Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in operations management and process improvement.
• Commitment to integrity and quality in business activities.
• Ability to influence senior decision makers at C- and D-levels.
• Familiarity with U.S. Federal Government budgeting and contracting processes.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Windows environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances.
• Travel willingness within the region and up to 25% West Coast.

Responsibilities

• Own all P&L, growth, and strategy for the field services team.
• Lead sales executives and develop processes to qualify and close opportunities.
• Coordinate and manage field service schedules for optimal coverage.
• Mentor and develop HVAC field technicians and managers.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of marine HVAC systems.
• Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency.
• Foster continuous improvement and productivity across installations.
• Monitor service contracts and ensure commitments are met.
• Build strong client relationships and tailor solutions to needs.
• Address and resolve customer service issues promptly.
• Lead regular client meetings to review performance and gather feedback.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety through training and audits.
• Stay updated on marine HVAC technology trends and provide guidance.
