Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Marine Field Technician to perform spill cleanup and emergency response tasks in a safe, compliant manner. The role involves pre-booming, AMPD services, line-handling, preventative maintenance, and basic equipment repair, with training and readiness for field exercises.

Qualifications

• Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain it after hire.
• Experience with gasoline/diesel marine engines and related equipment.
• Ability to diagnose malfunctions and use hand tools and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow all safety policies.
• Assist on projects by performing labor-intensive tasks in demanding environments.
• Deploy and operate light/heavy equipment for marine services and spill response.
• Load/unload equipment, boom, and anchors from vessels and vehicles.
• Attach/deploy boom and set/remove anchor systems according to procedures.
• Complete paperwork to comply with regulations (logs, inspections).
• Perform inventory, maintenance, and cleanup of boat/equipment.
