Job summary

Weeks Marine, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to lead on-site engineering tasks, plan and report to the Project Manager, and support contract administration, scheduling, and project reporting.

You will collaborate with field crews and management to ensure safety, quality workmanship, and ethical practices, while coordinating material deliveries and work packages across Northeast locations.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
• 1-3+ years' construction field experience.
• Read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Ability to access construction sites in varied environments.
• Strong work ethic and proactive attitude.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations and work progress measurements.
• Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages.
• Assist in field surveying and layout support including elevations and control points.
• Assist in tracking daily labor timesheets and JHA preparation.
• Participate in jobsite safety reviews and meetings; schedule material deliveries.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups; supervise field operations.
• Perform material takeoffs and basic engineering calculations to support field operations.
• Assist engineers and submittal processes for customers and vendors.
• Support data entry into job cost systems and cost reporting.
