Job summary

Weeks Marine, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to lead field operations, coordinate with project management, and ensure safety and quality on marine construction projects.

You will be responsible for contract administration, planning, scheduling, and reporting, while advising on contractual and other project issues. The role requires travel to project sites, 1–3+ years in construction, and an undergraduate degree in civil engineering or construction management.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel and relocate to project sites as needed.
• 1-3+ years of construction field experience and leadership of engineers.
• Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related.
• Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies in plans and specs.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
• Effective written and verbal communication; team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity takeoffs by measurements and completed work percentage.
• Prepare work plans and work packages.
• Support field surveying and layout including elevations and control points.
• Compile daily labor timesheets and assist in JHA preparation.
• Participate in jobsite safety reviews and toolbox talks.
• Order and schedule material deliveries; coordinate work groups.
• Supervise field operations and ensure quality of work.
