Job summary

Orion is seeking a Project Engineer for Marine Construction in Honolulu, onsite. The role provides project engineering support, including bid package development, cost calculations, supplier procurement, and interfacing with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to ensure project success.

The position requires a BS in Civil Engineering/Construction Science and 2 years of related experience, with broad knowledge in project management, procurement, estimating, scheduling, and safety

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Science or related discipline is required.
• 2 years of work experience is required.
• Working knowledge of Project Management & Administration, Marine Construction, Materials Procurement, Estimating, Scheduling, Project Tracking Software, Cost Control, Engineering & Project Standards, and Safety & Environmental Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Project Management Team to ensure successful completion of projects.
• Monitors costs and accounts for materials, services, labor, and other costs.
• Develops bid packages for subcontractors.
• Procures subcontractors, materials, consumables, and services for current projects.
• Interprets project plans and specifications.
• Schedules project work activities to meet timelines.
• Interfaces with project team members, suppliers, customers, and others involved in project work.
• Ensures safe work environment and knowledge of safety policies.
