Job summary

Orion is hiring a Project Engineer to support our marine and heavy civil construction operations in Federal Way, WA. This on-site role requires travel to active projects across the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii, interfacing with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to drive safe, on-time completion.

The ideal candidate has a Civil/Construction background with 2 years of relevant experience, knowledge of PM, estimating, and procurement processes, and the ability to learn technical

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Science or related discipline.
• 2 years of work experience in civil or marine construction.
• Experience with self-perform construction and marine projects is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to active sites, including out-of-town assignments.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Management Team to ensure project completion.
• Develop bid packages for subcontractors.
• Procure subcontractors, materials, and services for projects.
• Interpret project plans and specifications.
• Schedule project activities to meet timelines.
• Interface with project team, suppliers, and customers.
• Travel to active construction projects as required.
• Maintain safety and environmental compliance on site.
