Job summary

Orion Marine Group is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer in Federal Way, WA, to support self-perform marine and heavy civil construction projects across the Pacific Northwest. The role is on-site with travel to active projects as required by project needs.

Responsibilities include assisting project teams, drafting, estimating, and ensuring material procurement while upholding safety and quality standards. A Civil/Construction degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Science or related field required.
• Experience in marine or heavy civil construction preferred but not required.
• Willing to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest and on-site work in Federal Way.

Responsibilities

• Works with Project Management Team to ensure successful project completion.
• Assists in development of bid proposals for upcoming marine and heavy civil projects.
• Estimates costs for materials, services, labor, and other project-related expenses.
• Performs drafting, charting, and similar graphical work.
• Coordinates procurement of materials from suppliers for jobsite needs.
• Interprets project plans and specifications and provides necessary work control lines and elevations.
