Job summary

Orion is seeking a Project Engineer for our Federal Way, Washington operations. This on-site role supports self-perform marine and heavy civil construction, with travel to active projects across the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii as needed.

Responsibilities include preparing bid packages, cost tracking, supplier procurement, interpreting plans, scheduling activities, and coordinating with project managers, superintendents, and foremen to keep projects on schedule and compliant with safety policies.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Science, Construction Management, or related discipline; 2 years experience required.
• Heavy Civil/Marine construction experience preferred.
• Experience with project management, estimation, scheduling, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing bid packages for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Calculates project costs and tracks spending.
• Interprets project plans and specifications to support field teams.
• Schedules project work activities to meet timelines.
• Interfaces with project personnel to ensure safety and quality.
• Travels to active projects as required.
