Job summary

Orion is seeking a skilled carpenter for marine project locations. You will construct, erect, install, and repair concrete forms, scaffolds, and wooden structures per sketches and blueprints.

Work closely with a project superintendent and barge foreman to complete projects safely and efficiently. The role emphasizes durable workmanship, adherence to safety policies, and coordination with crane operators and labor crews on varying marine sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years carpentry experience in marine/construction settings.
• Ability to communicate effectively with crew and supervisors.
• Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork on job sites.
• Knowledge of concrete forming for reinforced structures.
• Familiarity with marine equipment and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry tasks on marine construction projects as directed by supervision.
• Prepare and maintain tools and equipment for carpentry work.
• Interpret plans and build/repair wooden structures and forms.
• Receive and offload building materials safely.
• Lay out foundations, building lines, and anchor bolts.
• Erect wooden forms and monitor concrete pours.
• Perform wood framing and metal stud framing as required.
• Collaborate with foreman, crane operators, and crew to complete projects safely.
