Orion Marine Construction Gulf Coast is seeking an experienced carpenter to perform carpentry on marine project locations in Southern Louisiana, including Lake Charles and Baton Rouge areas. You will construct, erect, install, and repair concrete forms and related structures according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years carpentry experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to interpret plans and specifications for wood structures and forms.
• Knowledge of safety practices in marine construction environments.
• Ability to work with concrete forming systems and related carpentry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Works as assigned to complete marine construction projects safely and efficiently.
• Secures and maintains tools and materials on the jobsite.
• Interprets plans and builds wooden structures or forms as required.
• Receives, unloads, and handles building materials safely.
• Lays out foundations and anchor bolts; assists with elevations and grades.
• Performs wood framing and metal stud framing as dictated by the project.
