Job summary

Kokosing is seeking Carpenters for marine projects in Hopewell, VA and Baltimore, MD. Candidates must be willing to travel and work 12-hour shifts with extended schedules. Responsibilities include form work, reading blueprints, and building concrete forms for heavy civil marine structures.

Experience in formwork and carpenter training is preferred. The role requires climbing, lifting up to 100 pounds, and working from heights with fall protection. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with formwork and carpentry fundamentals.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings for marine projects.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Select lumber or other materials as specified.
• Prepare layout and measure materials to cutting lines.
• Shape materials to prescribed measurements and assemble forms.
• Set up forms and bracing for concrete piers, footings, and walls.
• Construct wood deck forms and chutes for concrete pours.
• Assist in pouring concrete and install scaffolding and ladders.
