Job summary

Everett Public Schools in Everett, MA is seeking Drill Instructors for the Everett Crimson Tide Marching Band program (Grades 9-12). You will provide marching instruction and help develop coordination skills, with opportunities to participate in band camps and competitions.

The role requires teaching drill with focus on technique and pedagogy, and entails attending rehearsals and events during the fall season, including approximately four competitions and home football games.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience teaching drill for marching band shows.
• Ability to stay organized to plan events and assist the Band Director in all aspects of running the band.
• Knowledge of marching techniques and pedagogy as well as modern techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Show Design
• Assist with Developing Marching Technique Program
• Attends all competitions (approximately 4) and home football games as needed by the Marching Band Director
• Attends all rehearsals during the course of the fall season
• Attends Band Camp
• Teaches and cleans drill
