Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to direct and teach the percussion section including snare, tenor, bass drum and cymbals.
• Ability to stay organized to plan events, copy music, distribute items, and recruit volunteers.
• Knowledge of percussion techniques and pedagogy, as well as modern band performance practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit students to enroll in the Percussion Section of the Marching Band (group lessons, sectionals, or individual).
• Plan an individual curriculum for students enrolled in the Percussion Section of the Marching Band.
• Plan repertoire, routines, warmups, marching drill.
