Everett Crimson Tide Marching Band Director


Job Summary:
The Marching Band Director shall plan and teach music to students interested in maintaining their skills on their instrument over the course of the school year.


Essential Duties:



  • Recruit students to enroll in the Marching Band (group lessons, sectionals, or individual).

  • Plan an individual curriculum for students enrolled in the Marching Band.

  • Plan repertoire, make copies, organize apparel orders and distribution, schedule performance for a ‘Marching Band or ‘Community Events’ and similar ensemble experience.

  • The Marching Band performs at 30-40 events annually.

Minimum Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required)



  • Ability to direct and rehearse a band.

  • Knowledge of instrumental techniques and pedagogy, as well as modern band performance practices.


Work Environment :
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The Director has frequent contact with students and members of the community. Duties are normally performed in a school/classroom environment.
