Central Point School District 6 is seeking an Educational Assistant III (MAPS+) at Crater High School. The role supports the MAPS+ teacher by delivering instructional activities and providing intensive support to special needs students.

Primary duties include assisting with life skills, behavior management, care tasks, and transition programs. The position is part-time with 5.75 hours/day and 184 days/year calendar.

Qualifikationen

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have one of the following: Associate's degree, two years of post-high school study, or passing score on the District's assessment.
• General knowledge of English language arts and mathematics.
• Completion of student restraint training within 30 days of hire.
• Willingness to participate in CPI, First Aid, Ukeru, epipen trainings.

Aufgaben

• Assists in implementing classroom learning exercises and supports MAPS+ teacher.
• Works with special needs students on transition programs and life-skills practice.
• Assists in providing for health, nutrition, and communication needs of students.
• Assists with physical management and bodily functions as required.
• Supports in IEP meetings and tracking IEP data when needed.
• Performs clerical duties and documents health procedures and incidents.
