Job summary

Central Point School District 6 is seeking a Food Services Assistant at Crater High School to support student meals. The role reports to the Nutrition Services Supervisor and School Principal and follows safety standards and district procedures.

The position involves handling cash with POS systems, maintaining sanitation, and assisting with inventory and training new staff. This is a 5.75-hour day, 184-day year role within the nutrition services team.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must be able to read, understand and follow multi-step written and verbal instructions in English.
• Must possess a valid Oregon Food Handler's Card.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves cafeteria meals, including entrees, fruits and vegetables, ensuring quality and quantity.
• Prepares serving areas and restocks lines with food and beverages.
• Performs basic prep tasks and checks food temperatures.
• Keeps production records, temperature logs and inventory up to date.
