Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Training Manager to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of training programs for hourly manufacturing teams, with a focus on welders, tubers, electricians, and insulators.

The role partners with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Safety and Production leadership to establish training strategies, qualification standards, and career progression paths, while driving workforce capability and engagement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 6 years in manufacturing operations, workforce development, technical training, skilled trades, or a related field.
• Experience leading training programs within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of welding, tubing, electrical, insulation, or other industrial manufacturing processes.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience developing training curricula, qualification standards, certification programs, and skills matrices.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of training programs for welders, tubers, electricians, and insulators.
• Ensure employees are trained, qualified, and certified to meet production, quality, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Safety, and Production leadership on training strategies.
• Manage training records, certifications, and qualification standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen workforce capability, productivity, quality, and employee engagement.
