Job summary

Johnson Controls in Largo, FL, is seeking a Training Supervisor to lead bootcamp development, onboarding, and ongoing employee training across manufacturing operations. The role focuses on reducing errors and improving safety and quality through structured programs and performance tracking.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree or equivalent experience, at least 6 years in training roles, and will manage the Alchemy Training Software plus a plant-wide skill matrix.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Create bootcamp training (theory and hands-on) starting with Mount and Wire and Coils Brazing.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires and temps.
• Track 30-60-90 day training completion and focus on new employees.
• Collaborate with HR and operations to improve retention by identifying training gaps.
• Develop and maintain a training calendar; own the Alchemy Training Software.
• Content development for training materials and recertification by job class.
• Maintain a skill matrix for the plant with accurate records.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs as needed.
• Supervise operations trainers in a manufacturing environment.
