Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. seeks a Training Coordinator to support onboarding, training, and development of manufacturing staff.

This hands-on role collaborates with new hires, production supervisors, and seasoned team members to deliver effective training, build confidence, and set up long-term success. You will gain a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, identify training gaps, and work with Operations and HR to maintain practical programs and records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in manufacturing, education, or HR preferred.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred with the ability to learn multiple production processes.
• Experience in employee training, coaching, mentoring, or leadership preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for clear instruction to diverse experience levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist onboarding through hands-on training and smooth transitions to production roles.
• Develop working knowledge of manufacturing operations, equipment, and job duties.
• Provide instruction, coaching, encouragement, and ongoing support for skill development.
• Collaborate with production supervisors to standardize training methods and expectations.
• Identify gaps in training and suggest improvements for better readiness.
• Help design and implement structured training programs, schedules, and competency checks.
• Monitor progress and coordinate additional training as needed.
• Follow up with new hires and supervisors to assess effectiveness and address concerns.
• Identify experienced employees to serve as trainers and mentors.
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation of progress.
• Work with HR and Operations to evaluate training impact and support engagement and retention.
