Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking an Assembly Lead to support the Supervisor in directing the assembly line. The role involves assembling parts and subassemblies for OEM products, while guiding assemblers and maintaining an organized, clean department.

The candidate will ensure safety, schedule adherence, and high-quality output. Training and advancement opportunities are available in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with other departments.
• Attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
• Good finger and hand dexterity.
• Previous experience in manufacturing and mechanical assembly is helpful.
• Previous forklift experience beneficial.
• Exposure to a Lean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in directing and overseeing the assembly line work.
• Prepare and gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials for work.
• Coordinate orders with material handling and ensure readiness for assembly.
• Position parts by following templates or measurements and assemble components.
• Inspect connections and verify specifications for proper fit and quality.
• Provide input to scheduling to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery.
