The Training Coordinator will develop a working understanding of manufacturing processes, identify opportunities to improve training, and collaborate with operations and Human Resources to develop and maintain structured, practical training programs. The ideal candidate understands and thrives in the fast pace and sense of urgency required in manufacturing, but also recognizes that employees need appropriate instruction, encouragement and time to develop proficiency. Responsibilities
  • Support new employees through their initial onboarding, hands‑on training, and transition into their assigned production roles.

  • Identify gaps in existing training processes and recommend improvements to enhance employee understanding, confidence, and job readiness.
  • Assist in developing and implementing structured training programs, including training schedules, job‑specific learning plans, work instructions, and competency assessments.
  • Monitor new employee progress, provide constructive feedback, and coordinate additional training or support as needed.
  • Conduct regular follow‑ups with new employees and supervisors to evaluate training effectiveness, address concerns, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in identifying and developing experienced employees who can serve as effective trainers and mentors.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation, including completed training, skills assessments, and progress toward job proficiency.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Operations to evaluate training effectiveness and support employee engagement, development, and retention initiatives.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that emphasizes safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company and plant safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in manufacturing, education, human resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience required with a willingness and ability to learn various production processes and job functions.
  • Experience in employee training, coaching, mentoring, or leadership preferred.

  • Adaptable, approachable, results orientated and supportive, with a genuine interest in helping others learn and succeed while balancing production demands with the individual learning needs of employees.
  • Ability to recognize when employees need additional guidance and adapt training methods to individual learning needs.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple training activities and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with employees, supervisors, and management.
  • Proactive problem‑solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
