Job summary

RTX is seeking a Manufacturing Electrical Engineer I for the Melbourne, FL facility. This onsite role focuses on developing, verifying, and sustaining test processes and equipment used in manufacturing Collins Aerospace products.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve test yields and throughput, while addressing downtime and cost efficiency. Ideal for candidates with a STEM degree and up to 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-functional team efforts to improve test yields, throughput, capacity, and product quality.
• Identify component test failure trends and perform root-cause analysis.
• Study performance and reliability of test equipment and reduce downtime.
• Analyze test plans for cost reduction and efficiency.
• Provide capacity planning and utilization analysis for staffing and equipment.
• Select and order capital test equipment with cost/payback analysis.
• Improve test fixtures and equipment to enhance test performance.
• Support Production Readiness Reviews for new designs.
• Assist with Gage R&R efforts to verify test consistency.
