Zusammenfassung

RTX is seeking an Engineering Co-Op in Manufacturing Operations in Melbourne, Florida. You will support production, learn from experienced Manufacturing and Test Engineers, and gain hands-on experience in data analysis, process improvement, and troubleshooting.

You will work on data-collection tools, test equipment reliability, and collaboration with Design Engineering to address obsolescence and test documentation. This is an onsite, U.S.-based role with strong growth potential.

Qualifikationen

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
• Previous experience with basic statistics and statistical process control (SPC).
• Experience with data analysis, automation, or engineering software such as Python, MATLAB, Excel, LabVIEW, or similar tools.

Aufgaben

• Develop and automate data-collection tools, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve test processes and outcomes.
• Analyze and enhance test equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency while reducing downtime and costs.
• Support capacity planning, ROI analysis, and evaluate test approaches to optimize staffing, production, and capital investments.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting, training, and resolving production issues, including Manufacturing Flow Inhibitors (MFIs).
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to address component obsolescence, maintain test documentation, and manage configuration and change processes.
• This Co-Op provides exposure to the many disciplines that come together in aerospace manufacturing.
