Job summary

Celestica in Austin, TX seeks a Manufacturing Technical Lead to drive hardware NPI execution and technical readiness from concept to mass production. You will lead cross-functional teams across hardware, software, and factory operations, ensuring prototyping milestones, documentation, and quality targets are met.

The role interfaces with design, software, and manufacturing groups to align schedules, test plans, and build baselines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hardware NPI engineering, manufacturing leadership, or systems program management.
• Strong knowledge of electronic manufacturing operations (SMT, box build, test methodologies).
• Proficiency with change control systems (PLM/CCB) and detailed technical documentation such as SOWs.

Responsibilities

• Operational Gatekeeper: translate complex engineering intents into execution directives for NPI managers and manufacturing sites.
• Operations Synthesis: align with Front-End/Back-End/Test Eng to scale infra and fixtures with prototyping.
• Design & Software Interface: align hardware design leads and software PMs on code, firmware, and diagnostics readiness.
• Execution Accountability: own the execution matrix for proto, EVT, DVT, PVT builds to meet schedules and quality targets.
• Build-SOW Authoring: write and enforce build-specific SOWs with baselines, quantities, materials, and test goals.
• Anomaly & Deviation Controls: track, log, and resolve manufacturing anomalies with proper documentation.
• Risk Framework Execution: perform NUDD reviews, golden pfMEAs, and CTQ parameter monitoring.
• Change Control Governance: present at CCBs to approve mid-cycle design tweaks and substitutions.
