Job summary

JCB, Inc. in Pooler, GA is seeking a full-time Plant Operations Leader to oversee safe, efficient, and accurate movement, storage, and distribution of materials.

You will manage day-to-day manufacturing and assembly, schedule workforce, and coordinate cross-functional teams to meet production targets and delivery commitments. Responsibilities include leading a high-performing team, driving lean improvements, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in material handling in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma.
• Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.
• Associate’s degree preferred; 2 years of leadership experience; 6 years of experience in material handling in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team consisting of multiple Team Leaders and production employees.
• Manage day-to-day manufacturing and assembly operations, including production planning, workforce scheduling, resource allocation, staffing, performance management, and workflow optimization.
• Ensure production targets, customer delivery requirements, and operational objectives are achieved with safety, quality, productivity, and cost control.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvements in efficiency, throughput, scrap reduction, first-pass yield, and overall operational excellence.
• Promote and enforce safety policies and regulatory compliance to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges and drive processes improvements.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving for safety incidents, quality concerns, equipment downtime, and bottlenecks.
• Support employee development through coaching, feedback, training, succession planning, and talent development.
• Drive lean manufacturing and waste elimination, standardization, and process improvements.
• Ensure adherence to standardized work instructions, quality procedures, and accurate production records.
• Manage labor utilization and departmental expenses to support budgetary goals.
• Participate in new product launches, process improvements, and facility growth initiatives.
