Job summary

JCB seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Technician – Assembly to help develop, document, and optimize assembly processes at our Pooler, GA facility. You’ll write SOPs, support continuous improvement, and collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure safe, high-quality production.

You will assist in setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment, train operators, and help maintain accurate documentation and CAPA activities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical writing skills with SOP/documentation experience.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM).
• Ability to read assembly drawings and technical documents.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools, measurement instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, document management systems).
• Must pass drug screen and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of assembly equipment and tools.
• Write, revise, and maintain SOPs and work instructions for assembly processes.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance assembly efficiency and ergonomics.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to resolve process issues on the line.
• Conduct time studies and process audits to support data-driven improvements.
• Train operators on new or revised assembly procedures and documentation.
• Participate in CAPA activities and root cause analyses.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain records of process changes, equipment maintenance, and training.
• Support additional manufacturing tasks to meet production goals.
