Job summary

JCB, Inc. in Pooler, Georgia is seeking a Safety Technician to support Environmental, Health and Safety programs at North America facilities.

The role works with the EHS Director and site leaders to promote a safe, compliant workplace. You will provide hands-on safety coverage on the manufacturing floor, assist with incident investigations, hazard analyses, training, and corrective actions, and help sustain safety programs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting occupational safety programs in manufacturing.
• Ability to observe floor practices, identify hazards, and guide employees.
• Knowledge of PPE, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, electrical safety.
• Assist with hazard analyses, risk assessments, and program improvements.
• Support incident investigations and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day safety program support for a general manufacturing environment.
• Assist with development, implementation, and continual improvement of EHS policies and procedures.
• Maintain floor presence to observe practices and communicate hazards.
• Support hazard communication, PPE programs, LOTO, guarding, and safety training.
• Assist with job hazard analyses, risk assessments, and proactive safety activities.
• Promote employee engagement in safety programs and near-miss reporting.
• Monitor compliance and communicate concerns to EHS leaders.
• Provide safety guidance to employees, supervisors, and contractors.
• Support regulatory recordkeeping and documentation.
