Job summary

BorgWarner in South Carolina seeks an Assistant Team Leader to support the Team Leader in delivering safe, quality-driven production. You will oversee daily operations, mentor operators, and coordinate multi-station tasks while promoting BorgWarner’s values of inclusion, integrity, excellence, responsibility and collaboration.

This role requires at least a high school diploma and 1+ years of leadership or manufacturing experience; familiarity with lean practices and problem solving is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience.
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience required.
• Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team leader with guiding the department to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Lead team huddles and communicate safety talks and operational updates.
• Mentor operators and coordinate daily tasks across multiple stations.
• Support troubleshooting with maintenance and quality teams.
• Ensure compliance with ISO45001/ISO9001/TS16949 where applicable.
