Job summary

Oatey is seeking a production operator in Omaha, NE to maintain a smooth flow of operations in an assigned area. You will organize resources, start-up activities and ensure safety, quality and production goals are met daily.

The role requires familiarity with LEAN thinking, 6S standards, and ability to train new associates, with standard data entry and process documentation responsibilities. Join a team that values continuous improvement and safety.

Qualifications

• English fluency (read/write) to interpret instructions and procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of LEAN thinking and 6S, with ability to improve processes.
• Ability to perform basic process documentation and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth flow of operations by organizing resources and start-up activities.
• Assist with changeovers and line flushes; oversee downtime clean-up activities.
• Perform material handling within the department and replenish materials.
• Audit work areas for SOP compliance and documentation accuracy.
• Verify raw materials against BOM and DPR; adjust line speeds as needed.
• Provide on-the-job training to new or temporary associates when required.
• Participate in CIP meetings and contribute to problem resolution and continuous improvement.
• Follow all safety procedures, maintain 6S housekeeping, and use PPE as required.
