Job summary

Oatey Company in Omaha, NE, is looking for a Production Operator to maintain smooth flow of operations on the shop floor, align materials and workflows, and ensure safety and quality standards are met daily. You will perform start-ups, line changes, machine set-ups, quality checks, and assist with continuous improvement initiatives while working in a 24-hour operation and Lean environment.

Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English; read and follow instructions.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and problem-solving abilities required.
• Knowledge of safety procedures (lockout/tagout, machine guarding).
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth flow of operations; organize materials and operators.
• Assist with changeovers, line flushes, and downtime clean-up.
• Perform material handling and replenish materials to meet schedule.
• Conduct quality inspections and document results.
• Train new and temporary associates on safety and productivity.
• Participate in CIP and Lean activities to improve processes.
