Job summary

Oatey Co. in Omaha, Nebraska, is seeking a production operator to maintain smooth manufacturing flow, perform changeovers, and ensure safety and quality standards are met daily.

The role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and basic math and problem-solving abilities. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with adherence to SOPs and LEAN principles.

Qualifications

• English fluency (written and verbal) and ability to read simple instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a smooth flow of operations by completing production records and data entry as required.
• Assist with changeovers and line flushes; oversee downtime clean-up.
• Perform material handling and replenish materials to meet the schedule.
• Audit work areas for SOP compliance and document results.
• Startup equipment and adjust line speeds on assigned lines.
• Perform quality inspections and document results.
• Provide on-the-job training to new and temporary associates.
• Participate in LEAN events and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain 6S standards and safe work practices.
• Wear PPE and follow safety procedures at all times.
