Job summary

Oatey in Omaha, NE is seeking a production operator to maintain a smooth flow of operations on an assigned line. You will perform material handling, start-up activities, and ensure safety and quality in daily production.

The role requires attention to SOPs, ability to train new associates, and participation in LEAN events. You will conduct quality inspections and document results, while wearing PPE and following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• English fluency required and ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated teamwork and ability to work with diverse groups.
• Basic math skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer skills needed (MS Office) with ability to learn computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a smooth flow of operations in the assigned area and meet safety and quality goals.
• Perform material handling and replenish materials to meet schedule.
• Audit work areas for SOP compliance and document results.
• Perform quality inspections and record results.
• Assist with line changeovers and start-ups; support continuous improvement activities.
• Train new or temporary associates on basic tasks and safety.
