Job summary

American Woodmark Corp. is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met while engaging and developing a diverse team.

You will coordinate workflow with maintenance, quality, engineering, and HR, monitor performance metrics, investigate issues, drive Lean initiatives, and maintain accurate records to support continuous improvement and plant objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing teams in a high-volume setting.
• Ability to interpret production data and drive improvements.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and safety compliance.
• Proficiency with standard office software and MES/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities.
• Meet production schedules while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Enforce safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor performance and provide coaching and corrective action.
• Lead shift meetings and communicate goals and updates.
• Investigate production issues, equipment concerns, and defects.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, HR to support objectives.
• Monitor labor utilization, attendance, overtime, and staffing.
• Analyze production metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean manufacturing.
• Maintain accurate production records and timecards.
• Participate in employee development, succession planning, and evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with policies, environmental regulations, and labor laws.
