Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production employees and activities.

Position Purpose:

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement goals are achieved. This position supervises production team members, coordinates workflow, maintains compliance with company policies and procedures, and drives continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production employees.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality standards and operational efficiency.
• Promote and enforce all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, training, and corrective action when necessary.
• Conduct shift meetings and communicate production goals, performance expectations, and company updates.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, equipment concerns, and quality defects.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Human Resources, and other departments to support plant objectives.
• Monitor labor utilization, attendance, overtime, and staffing needs.
• Analyze production metrics and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving activities.
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation including timecards daily.
• Participate in employee development, succession planning, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and applicable labor laws.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience required.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production systems.
• Ability to motivate and develop employees.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.
• Ability to analyze production data and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and quality management principles.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Working Conditions:

• May require overtime, weekend work, or flexible scheduling based on production demands.
• Frequent interaction with employees, management, and cross-functional teams.
