Job summary

APS Tech LLC in Wallingford, CT, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our energy-sector engineering/manufacturing organization. Working under the CFO, you’ll handle general accounting, month-end close, payroll, manufacturing costing, and financial reporting in an on-site role.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of accounting experience, ERP experience (Epicor), and strong Excel skills. You’ll collaborate across Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain while maintaining accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• ERP systems such as Epicor experience desirable.
• Strong/advanced Excel skills desirable.
• Experience with payroll processing and sales/use tax reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and perform general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support manufacturing accounting, inventory variances, and job costing.
• Prepare financial statements and monthly financial/operational reports.
• Coordinate payroll administration and payroll tax reporting.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis.
