Under the CFO, you will manage monthly close, general ledger, job costing, payroll administration, A/P, financial reporting, and tax compliance, while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 3–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor and strong/advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of payroll processing and sales/use tax reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with financial statement preparation, budgeting/forecasting and financial analysis.
• Close manufacturing jobs in ERP, analyze variances, and support production reporting.

Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our fast-paced engineering/manufacturing organization in the energy sector. Working under the direction of the CFO, the Accountant is an integral member of the Finance team and is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Company’s financial records. This position supportsmonthly accounting close, general ledger accounting, manufacturing job costing, payroll administration, accounts payable, financial reporting, and tax compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting background, preferably within a manufacturing environment, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with colleagues across the organization.

In this role, the Accountant will be responsible for preparing and posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, and maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting documentation. The position will also assist with financial statement preparation, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and financial analysis.

The Accountant will play an important role inmanufacturing accounting, including reviewing and closing manufacturing jobs within the ERP system, analyzing labor, material and overhead variances, reconciling inventory-related accounts, and supporting accurate costing and production reporting. This position will work closely with Operations and Supply Chain to identify and resolve accounting and production-related discrepancies.

Additional responsibilities includebi-weekly and monthly payroll processing and reconciliation, accounts payable, vendor account reconciliations, payment processing, sales and use tax reporting, property tax filings, and support for external audits and tax advisors.

We are looking for ahighly organized and analytical candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred and3–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience with ERP systems such asEpicor and strong/advanced Excel skills are highly desirable. Knowledge of payroll processing and sales/use tax reporting is also preferred.

The ideal candidate will have stronganalytical, organizational, communication, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to process information quickly, investigate discrepancies, identify potential issues, and recommend practical solutions. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments.

This position requires a high level ofaccuracy, attention to detail, confidentiality, and accountability, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be someone who takes initiative, follows through on responsibilities, and is able to anticipate questions and issues before they become problems.
