Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Shift Supervisor at the Caldwell Plant to lead a ~20-person team on rotating shifts across Laminating, Slitting, Converting, Shipping and Maintenance. The role emphasizes safety, productivity, quality and cost control, with heavy focus on crew development and engagement.

Qualifications include proven leadership, strong communication, and manufacturing leadership experience in a union setting.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and strong communication skills are required.
• Manufacturing leadership experience is required in a union environment.
• Experience with Laminating/Converting operations strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
• Lean/Continuous Improvement and Quality Management Systems experience is required.
• Ability to read and understand product specifications.

Responsibilities

• Safely lead a rotating-shift crew in Laminating, Slitting, Converting, Shipping and Maintenance.
• Manage employee safety and productivity targets.
• Use line speed targets and data tools to improve efficiency.
• Ensure quality and meet customer needs; communicate expectations to crews.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma methods to plant-floor processes.
• Attend GMP and HACCP training and uphold food safety policies.
