Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee a production shift and drive productivity while maintaining quality at our manufacturing facility. You will supervise 40+ employees, coordinate with scheduling, and ensure safety and daily data reporting.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of manufacturing experience, supervisory background, strong communication, and the ability to resolve conflicts. SAP experience and a BA/BS degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Good verbal & interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in group situations.
• Ability to deal effectively with conflict in mature & consistent manner.
• Good computer skills.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate activities of a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost.
• Typically supervises 40+ employees.
• Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employees.
• Planning, assigning & directing work; appraising performance.
• Addressing complaints & resolving problems.
• Ensure all production data is gathered and reported daily.
• Support and improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals.
• Ensure safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessary.
